An historical theologian of the medieval Church, Dr. Michael’s research interests include the multifaceted history of biblical interpretation, with special attention to the ways that biblical hermeneutics shape theological method. She writes about twelfth-century theology, early Scholasticism, and early Franciscan traditions. Her recent book, published with The Catholic University of America Press is entitled An Exemplar of the True: The Tabernacle and the Architecture of Medieval Theology.
